Making the Desert Bloom

I had to head over to the west side of the valley today for work. It's a really ugly drive. Most of it is just dirty freeway. Once you get off the freeway on the west side, a lot of what's out there looks pretty much like this:


There are a few variations of this..some of them have rows of some crop or another, but I'd say the vast majority of it is just dirt being prepped for construction. However, I drove a little further and someone was using their plot of land a little differently.


Someone decided to use their land to plant roses. Acres of roses. It was beautiful and totally unexpected.
